Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed strong confidence that midfielder Declan Rice will sign a new long-term contract with the club. Speaking ahead of Arsenal's Premier League fixture against Liverpool, Arteta stated that Rice is very happy in north London, wants to commit his future long-term, and noted that finalizing an agreement is merely a matter of time.
Rice has been in impressive form this season with five goal contributions across all competitions, including an equalizer against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. After skipping England duty to resolve previous hamstring issues and sitting out a midweek cup loss with a minor knock, the midfielder is expected to return to the starting lineup at Anfield.
