Paul Merson stated on Sky Sports News that Arsenal winger Noni Madueke needs to play week in, week out to build confidence. Madueke started on the right wing in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Everton as a replacement for Bukayo Saka, who is sidelined for at least six weeks due to a quad injury sustained against Bayern Munich.
Merson commended Madueke's overall display alongside right-back Ben White, despite noting a missed scoring chance. Madueke has recently completed consecutive 90-minute matches for Mikel Arteta's side, which sits level on points with Manchester City ahead of an upcoming league fixture at Anfield.
