Former Arsenal winger Theo Walcott revealed details of a dressing-room clash that took place after a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in 2012. Walcott explained that an incident occurred between a teammate chasing the Premier League Golden Boot and another player who chose not to pass the ball during the match. Arsenal Insider reports that the players involved were Robin van Persie and Aaron Ramsey.
The confrontation took place despite Mikel Arteta scoring the winning goal and receiving the player of the match award. Walcott recalled that manager Arsene Wenger avoided the scuffle entirely because he disliked confrontation, while other teammates stepped in to break it up before both players made amends.
