Steven Gerrard praised Martin Odegaard's performance following Arsenal's 3-0 Champions League victory against Lille on Tuesday night. Speaking on TNT Sports, Gerrard described the Arsenal captain as a technical leader capable of unlocking defensive opponents with a vibe of magic. Odegaard entered as a second-half substitute alongside Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz after Jurrien Timber opened the scoring in the 64th minute.
During his 28-minute cameo, Odegaard registered a 93 percent pass completion rate, created two chances, and made four recoveries. Ed Davison argues that Odegaard should return to manager Mikel Arteta's starting lineup for Arsenal's upcoming Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
