Sarina Wiegman has explained Chloe Kelly’s England omission, while Arsenal deal with a separate fitness problem ahead of their European trip.

England head coach Sarina Wiegman explained that Chloe Kelly was dropped from the national squad purely for performance reasons rather than fitness concerns. Wiegman noted that the on-pitch performance levels of Kelly and Manchester United forward Ella Toone did not meet expectations amid strong competition for places.
Kelly was subsequently ruled out of Arsenal's Champions League match against Paris FC due to an unrelated hamstring issue. Arsenal manager Renee Slegers confirmed the forward is currently managing the issue and working toward full fitness.
