Manchester United vs Aston Villa Team News and Predicted Lineups

Manchester United hosts Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday, November 8, 2026, in a pivotal Premier League fixture for manager Michael Carrick. United enters the match following a midweek 3-2 Champions League comeback win against Roma, but Carrick's side has failed to win a league match since gameweek two. Meanwhile, Unai Emery's Aston Villa aims to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona.

Carrick faces major defensive absences, with Lisandro Martinez suspended and Carlos Baleba ruled out for weeks with a hamstring injury alongside sidelined players Marcus Rashford and Benjamin Sesko. Villa will be without the suspended Matty Cash, as well as Matteo Ruggeri and Amadou Onana, though Aaron Wan-Bissaka could potentially return after a five-week injury absence.
