Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has opened up about his time as Aston Villa head coach

Former Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard admitted he may have fast-tracked his move to the Premier League and expressed regret over leaving Scottish football too early. Speaking to Sky Bet, Gerrard reflected that managing Villa was far more brutal than playing, noting that things can unravel extremely quickly for a coaching staff.
Gerrard was dismissed after 11 months in charge of Villa following just two wins in 11 games during the 2022/23 campaign. He advised aspiring managers to gain several hundred matches of managerial experience before taking on top-flight jobs.
