Unai Emery made Aston Villa ‘dream’ clear long before Jamie Carragher’s Man United claim

Birmingham Live writer John Townley argues against Jamie Carragher's suggestion that Unai Emery must leave Aston Villa for a giant club like Manchester United to win the Champions League. Townley highlights that Emery previously stated his lifelong dream is to win the Champions League and that he believes he is getting closer to achieving it while managing at Villa.

Townley points to Emery's European track record, including reaching the Champions League semi-finals with Villarreal and winning five Europa League titles, most recently with Villa against Freiburg. The writer argues that Emery already enjoys full power and a strong culture under owner Nassef Sawiris, making a switch to Old Trafford ill-advised.
