Unai Emery is open to signing a new deal with Aston Villa that would take him to close to a decade at the club.

Unai Emery is open to signing a new long-term contract with Aston Villa following talks with club hierarchy. The discussions involved co-owner Nassef Sawiris, President of Football Operations Roberto Olabe, and Director of Football Operations Damian Vidagany. The meeting focused on Villa's long-term strategic direction and establishing a commitment beyond 2029 under Emery's leadership.
Emery currently earns close to £15 million annually as one of the Premier League's highest-paid managers. The Basque manager has reportedly been considered on a shortlist for Manchester United should Michael Carrick be replaced.
