Barcelona considering January move for Jorrel Hato

Barcelona are considering a potential January transfer window move for Chelsea defender Jorrel Hato. According to a report by Spanish outlet SPORT, the reigning La Liga champions are seeking a bargain deal to strengthen their defensive unit with a versatile center-back, placing the 20-year-old Netherlands international on a seven-man winter shortlist.

Hato previously joined Chelsea from Ajax in August 2025 in a deal worth £37 million after making over 100 senior appearances for the Dutch club. The report adds that Barcelona are also monitoring Fikayo Tomori, Vitor Reis, Piero Hincapie, Lucas Beraldo, Jonathan Tah, and Lisandro Martinez.
