Carlo Ancelotti has appeared to take a swipe at Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso

Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti has defended calling up winger Estevao Willian despite the teenager receiving limited playing time under Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso. Estevao has played only 23 minutes in the Premier League this season, sparking reports of frustration regarding his role at the club. Ancelotti stated that he will continue selecting the 19-year-old regardless of his club minutes because he considers him vital for Brazil's future.
Ancelotti confirmed Estevao will start for Brazil against Australia in a lineup that includes Vinicius Junior, Endrick, and Raphinha. Meanwhile, Estevao appeared to downplay reports of discontent, stating that he remains focused on training and making the most of his opportunities with Chelsea.
