Andoni Iraola made a big mistake with one of his decisions on Saturday afternoon during Liverpool's game against Brentford.

GiveMeSport's Alfie Cairns Culshaw argues that Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola made a reckless mistake by starting Dominik Szoboszlai against Brentford. The midfielder had recently sustained a hamstring injury with Hungary and was forced off after just 32 minutes due to an aggravation of the issue. Liverpool ultimately came from behind to win the match 2-1 after Brentford were reduced to nine men.
Following the game, Iraola admitted Szoboszlai was likely not healed enough before starting the contest. Culshaw contends that rushing the midfielder back instead of giving Trey Nyoni a start shows a lack of squad-management foresight that could harm Liverpool in the long run. Goals from Victor Munoz and Alexander Isak secured the win for Liverpool, but Szoboszlai and Jeremie Frimpong are now expected to miss playing time.
