Both Chelsea and Everton could be without a number of stars through injuries

Chelsea and Everton could be without up to five players combined for their upcoming match following manager updates from Xabi Alonso and David Moyes. Chelsea captain Reece James is sidelined for several weeks after undergoing minor knee surgery. Alongside James, Chelsea will miss Jamie Gittens and Emmanuel Emegha, with Alonso confirming Emegha is not fit after feeling an issue in training.
Everton also face selection issues ahead of the fixture. Manager David Moyes revealed that defender Jarrad Branthwaite sustained an early problem against Hull and is being assessed, while Vitalii Mykolenko has shown improvement and remains a chance to feature against the Blues.
