Filip Jorgensen moved to Strasbourg on a season-long loan deal in the summer after making his mind up back in January over his future at Chelsea

Goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen revealed he wanted to leave Chelsea since January to secure regular first-team football, leading to a season-long loan move to Strasbourg. Jorgensen traveled with manager Xabi Alonso's squad to Sydney for Chelsea's pre-season tour in July before being sent home early once the transfer to the French club was agreed.
Following Jorgensen's departure, Chelsea also loaned Robert Sanchez to Como in August. The Blues subsequently restructured their goalkeeping department by signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5 million, leaving Mike Penders serving as the primary backup goalkeeper.
