Chelsea: Alonso sack verdict revealed as Shearer predicts major Carrick blow

Stefan Borson believes pressure is rapidly building on Chelsea manager Alonso following consecutive domestic setbacks, while Alan Shearer has predicted a defeat for Michael Carrick's Manchester United against the Blues. Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League and face a high-stakes fixture against United at Stamford Bridge after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham and exiting the Carabao Cup on penalties against Liverpool.

Shearer stated he has seen nothing from Manchester United to suggest they can secure a victory away from home, predicting a Chelsea win despite the absence of injured forward Joao Pedro. Carrick reportedly remains under immense pressure at Old Trafford, with Chelsea widely expected to secure three points despite their own defensive struggles and recent cup disappointment.
