Chelsea face fresh concerns over Alejandro Garnacho's future as his lack of playing time at Aston Villa threatens to derail a permanent £43m transfer.

Aston Villa's agreement to permanently sign Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho has been thrown into doubt due to a lack of playing time. The 22-year-old joined Villa on a deal featuring a conditional obligation to buy worth around £43 million, which triggers only if an appearance threshold is met. However, Garnacho has recorded just 42 minutes across four substitute appearances this season.
Chelsea reportedly fear the purchase condition will not be met, potentially forcing the club to find another buyer next summer. Villa manager Unai Emery explained that Garnacho is progressing but currently remains behind other attacking options following pre-season complications.
