Chelsea are assessing several key injuries ahead of their Premier League match against Bournemouth under manager Xabi Alonso. Striker Joao Pedro is receiving treatment from a knee specialist and is projected to return later in October. Meanwhile, Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo are both targeting returns for the Bournemouth fixture after recovering from fitness and calf issues, respectively.
Captain Reece James, Marco Palestra, Emmanuel Emegha, and goalkeeper Mike Penders could also be in contention to face Bournemouth. However, winger Jamie Gittens faces an extended spell out after sustaining an ankle injury while playing for England's Under-21s.
