Chelsea have revived their long standing interest in right-back Jules Kounde after missing out on signing him from Sevilla in 2022.

Chelsea have reportedly reignited their transfer interest in Barcelona defender Jules Kounde following his reduced playing time under manager Hansi Flick. The 27-year-old French international, who nearly moved to Stamford Bridge in 2022, has started only two matches for the Catalan club this season.
Kounde is under contract at Barcelona until 2030, meaning a permanent move could prove expensive. Consequently, a loan deal during the January transfer window could emerge as a viable option for Chelsea and the defender.
