Chelsea have sanctioned numerous departures this year with one player exiled from the squad now thriving in Spain…

Senegal defender Mamadou Sarr opened up about his difficult six-month spell at Chelsea after securing a summer loan move to Real Sociedad. The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Strasbourg in early 2026 under Liam Rosenior, but he was cast aside following an error against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and Rosenior's subsequent sacking.
Sarr stated that he is now "living again" in Spain, where he has already made nine appearances across La Liga and the Europa League. Real Sociedad currently sit fifth in domestic competition, while Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso faces defensive injury problems with Maxence Lacroix sidelined.
