News broke last month that Manchester City had been found guilty on all but one of the 115 charges laid by the Premier League in February 2023

Chelsea reportedly declined to submit notice in September 2024 to reserve the right to seek damages against Manchester City following their financial breaches verdict. While this decision does not completely bar the club from pursuing compensation, reports indicate it may significantly complicate any potential legal procedures. Meanwhile, rivals Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur did reserve their rights and were notified of the verdict ahead of the rest of the league.
Manchester City have appealed the ruling and continue to deny all wrongdoing. City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak released an open letter to supporters, stating that the club maintains complete confidence in proving its innocence as the legal process continues.
