Chelsea have had a poor first half vs Spurs who have been the better team of the two in the first 45 minutes. Sky Sports…

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville criticized Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders during the team's difficult opening period against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge. Neville highlighted Penders' apparent lack of confidence playing out from the back, noting that the young goalkeeper was repeatedly lumping the ball forward and hindering Chelsea's ability to maintain possession.
Penders was called into the starting lineup following a significant injury to regular starter Emiliano Martinez, who underwent surgery after being stretchered off against Everton. Neville and writer Mehdi Gokal noted that replacing the established starter tested the youngster, leaving Chelsea needing a much-improved second half to turn the derby around.
