Two key men to miss out as Blues trek up to Anfield…
Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed that Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Muñoz look set to miss Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea. Szoboszlai aggravated a hamstring injury during a recent match against Brentford, while Muñoz remains sidelined due to a knee injury. Iraola noted that while he is doubtful about both players featuring at Anfield, fellow attacker Florian Wirtz is optimistic about being available despite suffering a knock against Brighton.
The Reds are also dealing with the absence of Jeremie Frimpong, who is expected to miss several weeks with a muscle injury. Iraola anticipates an intense, physical encounter against Chelsea, who are managed by his childhood friend Xabi Alonso. Chelsea face their own injury issues and are expected to travel without Reece James and Joao Pedro.
