Following the injury, Martinez will be sidelined for at least two weeks under standard concussion protocols, ruling him out against Tottenham Hotspur. Twenty-one-year-old Mike Penders replaced Martinez to make his Chelsea top-flight debut, while Pedro Neto scored both goals in the victory.
