Xabi Alonso has spoken to the press following Chelsea's incredible 5-1 win over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso confirmed that defender Reece James was absent after experiencing an issue with his knee. Alonso explained that tests were carried out after James felt discomfort, and the club plans to assess his recovery on a week-by-week basis. The injury also forced the defender to miss Chelsea's previous Premier League defeat to Brentford and recent England national team fixtures.
While James remains sidelined, midfielder Moises Caicedo made a successful return from a knock, playing approximately 70 minutes at Stamford Bridge before being replaced by Romeo Lavia. Alonso praised Caicedo's performance alongside Jordan Henderson, who scored two goals and provided an assist to guide Chelsea to a comprehensive victory.
