The confirmed team news from Stamford Bridge as Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso welcomes back a host of crucial players for this afternoon's fixture with Bournemouth

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has named Cole Palmer in the starting lineup against Bournemouth despite recent groin issues. Palmer, who signed a contract extension until 2034 earlier in the day, had previously withdrawn from international duty with England following an injury scare. However, club captain Reece James has been completely left out of the matchday squad after dealing with a hamstring problem.
The lineup also features several returning players, including Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro, who both missed recent action through injury. Additionally, Italy international Marco Palestra has been handed his Chelsea debut against Bournemouth, having overcome a quadriceps issue following his £47 million summer move from Atalanta.
