A 14-year-old boy has handed himself in to police after footage appeared to show a Coventry supporter taunting Sunderland fans with a picture of Bradley Lowery.

A 14-year-old boy handed himself in to West Midlands Police following widespread outrage over social media footage captured during Coventry City's 3-1 Premier League win against Sunderland. The video appeared to show a supporter brandishing a photograph of Bradley Lowery, a Sunderland fan who died from neuroblastoma in 2017 at age six, to mock opposing fans. Police confirmed an investigation is underway and officers will question the teenager.
Coventry City stated the club does not tolerate offensive behavior and is liaising with authorities to determine appropriate action. Bradley's mother, Gemma Lowery, released an emotional statement describing the taunt as heartbreaking while urging the public not to direct hatred at the boy, emphasizing her son's enduring charitable legacy and asking people to remember his life with love rather than cruelty.
