De Zerbi hails Tottenham as ‘very good team’ after Spurs end winless run

Roberto De Zerbi hailed Tottenham as a "very good team" after they ended a six-match winless start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 victory over Coventry City. James Maddison opened the scoring on his first start since May last year, before Jack Rudoni equalized early in the second half. Omar Marmoush scored his first Spurs goal to restore the lead, and a stoppage-time strike from Ben Davies secured the points.

The victory lifted Tottenham out of the relegation zone, prompting De Zerbi to praise his squad's attitude, spirit, and defensive resilience following previous criticisms of their mentality. Despite the defeat ending Coventry's two-match winning streak, manager Frank Lampard commended his side's performance and personality against a top squad.
