Crystal Palace are close to agreeing a new contract with winger Ismaila Sarr following a failed summer transfer to Liverpool. The Eagles rejected a reported £50 million offer from Liverpool late in the transfer window, leading to tension after Sarr's agent publicly criticized the club and the player made only two appearances afterward.
Sarr has since returned to first-team training under manager Pierre Sage, who considers him an important part of his plans. Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown stated that Palace aim to end speculation by securing the Senegal international on an extended deal that could include improved wages.
