ERIK TEN HAG has warned Manchester United could be relegated after slipping to 17th in the table. Chelsea's 2-0 win over Michael Carrick's side on Saturday saw them slip to a ninth game without a win, and left them teetering…

Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has warned that the club could realistically be relegated this season following their drop to 17th in the Premier League table. Speaking to ESPN NL, Ten Hag highlighted the strength of rival squads and cautioned that Michael Carrick's team could get trapped in a difficult "vicious circle" after a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea extended their winless streak to nine matches.
Manchester United have failed to win any of their opening seven away fixtures in all competitions, matching an unwanted record from their 1973-74 relegation campaign. Carrick reportedly has until the upcoming international break to improve results, with critical matches against Roma and Aston Villa approaching, while former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has indicated an openness to returning if asked.
