Erling Haaland was forced off while on international duty with Norway on Sunday, putting his fitness for Manchester City's Premier League game against Liverpool in doubt

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Erling Haaland is fit and ready to face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday. The 26-year-old striker had sparked injury concerns after being substituted due to extreme fatigue during Norway's Nations League match against Portugal. Following a short recovery break playing golf in Marbella, Haaland returned to training with his Manchester City teammates.
Norway manager Stale Solbakken noted that Haaland was thoroughly spent after heavy fixture congestion before being taken off in Porto. Despite the fitness scare and ongoing off-field attention regarding Manchester City's Premier League financial charges, Haaland has scored five goals in five league matches this season as top-ranked City prepare for their weekend clash.
