David Moyes once named the four greatest players he ever managed and chose two Everton icons.
Manager David Moyes identified Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Declan Rice, and Leon Osman as the four greatest players he has managed across his career. Speaking during an interview with BBC Sport, Moyes selected the quartet after managing across prominent spells at Everton, Manchester United, and West Ham United.
Moyes highlighted Rooney as a standout talent from his early Everton days and Manchester United tenure, while praising Vidic as the best center-back he managed. He also commended Rice for fulfilling his potential at West Ham prior to joining Arsenal, and noted great pride in Osman earning an England cap later in his Everton career.
