The Blues boss is considering whether Carlos Alcaraz could be the player best-placed to reduce the workload of leading forward Thierno Barry

Everton manager David Moyes is considering using Carlos Alcaraz in attack to reduce the heavy workload placed on forward Thierno Barry. Barry is currently the squad's only specialist forward after the club sold Beto and missed out on signing Folarin Balogun. To prevent overworking the 23-year-old striker, Moyes plans to test this tactical adjustment during the international break.
Barry has enjoyed a positive start to the season, scoring five goals in seven games across all competitions. However, he has started every fixture and played nearly every minute since the transfer window shut. While Moyes praised Barry's work rate and resilience following his winning goal against Ipswich Town, the manager aims to ease the burden on the young striker.
