Everton saw Thierno Barry's goal ruled out against Ipswich Town in the Premier League after Brennan Johnson was judged to be offside by VAR

A Premier League Key Match Incidents panel narrowly supported a VAR decision to disallow an Everton goal against Ipswich Town by a 3-2 vote. Striker Barry appeared to head Everton further in front, but referee Stuart Attwell was advised by VAR to rule out the strike after Johnson was deemed offside and interfering with goalkeeper Christian Walton.
Everton went on to secure a 1-0 victory over Ipswich courtesy of Barry's 11th-minute goal. Despite the ruling, Everton defender James Tarkowski called for officials to be granted more discretion and common sense when deciding if a goalkeeper realistically had a chance to make a save.
