The forward was charged with the FA for breaches of betting rules over a 15-month period

Everton striker Martin Sherif will not face a sporting sanction from the Football Association after admitting to breaching betting rules. The 20-year-old was charged in August for permitting or enabling 61 bets on football matches between November 2024 and February 2026 through accounts he funded. The regulatory commission ruled that his conduct did not warrant a sporting ban, citing his early admission of guilt, young age, and genuine remorse.
Sherif joined Everton in 2019 and has spent time on loan with Rotherham United and Port Vale, scoring four League One goals last season. The Netherlands youth international has also regularly trained with manager David Moyes' first-team squad.
