Everton manager David Moyes has urged any potential new owners to truly understand the club, its supporters, and its culture. His comments follow confirmation from The Friedkin Group (TFG) that it is exploring investment options, including a possible sale of its controlling interest in the Merseyside club.
TFG completed its takeover of Everton in December 2024, but is now reportedly considering an exit with a mooted asking price of around £800 million. Moyes, who learned of the news on Friday morning, noted that there may not have been enough opportunity to explain the club's identity to TFG, while emphasizing that supporters will make their voices heard during any transition.
