David Moyes uses the international break to explore whether Carlos Alcaraz can support Thierno Barry up front for Everton.

Everton manager David Moyes plans to test Carlos Alcaraz as an attacking alternative during the international break. Thierno Barry is currently the only recognized center-forward in the senior squad following Beto's summer departure and a failed deadline-day move for Folarin Balogun. Barry has started all seven matches this season, scoring five goals including the winner in a 1-0 victory against Ipswich Town.
Alcaraz, who scored the winning goal against Wolves in the Carabao Cup, has primarily played as an attacking midfielder. Moyes believes the Argentine possesses the physicality and box runs needed to operate further forward. Everton may arrange a behind-closed-doors match during the break to evaluate new attacking combinations.
