Journalist David Ornstein reported that Everton should continue receiving financial support from The Friedkin Group despite the owners considering a potential sale. Speaking on The Athletic FC Podcast, Ornstein expressed optimism regarding Everton's prospects, highlighting the club's new stadium, training facilities, and growing revenues. He noted that TFG will only sell to an appropriate custodian capable of taking the club forward.
Funding is expected to remain available for the January transfer window, allowing manager David Moyes to target a new striker. Everton currently has Thierno Barry as its only senior center-forward following Beto's departure to Fiorentina and a failed summer move for Folarin Balogun. Recent links include Bayer Leverkusen's Christian Kofane and Rennes forward Esteban Lepaul.
