Former Everton captain Seamus Coleman has indicated he is edging closer to retiring from professional football. The Republic of Ireland international left Goodison Park at the end of last season after 17 years and remains a free agent following summer training with Sheffield United.
Speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate, Coleman revealed that while he has not completely drawn a line in the sand, he is increasingly content spending time with his family and exploring punditry opportunities. David Moyes had previously offered him an Everton coaching role, which Coleman paused while considering continuing his playing career.
