A new book, written by Nathan O'Hagan, looks into the complex task for the man who succeeded Everton's most successful manager from the heady days of the 1980s.

Author Nathan O'Hagan has released a new book titled 'Succession: Colin Harvey and His Time as Everton Manager,' published by Pitch. The book explores the three-year managerial tenure of Colin Harvey, who took charge of Everton in June 1987 following the departure of Howard Kendall to Athletic Bilbao.
According to O'Hagan and reviewer Michael Kenrick, Harvey faced immense challenges including the European ban on English clubs and struggles with public relations and transfers. Consequently, Harvey was unable to sustain the club's title-winning success as the squad gradually broke apart.
