Arsenal are worried. Liverpool have a clause that's ready to trigger and it could ruin the Gunners' grand plans.
Liverpool reportedly hold a €65m buy-back clause to permanently re-sign defender Jarell Quansah from Bayer Leverkusen before a June 15 deadline. According to SportBild, there is virtually no chance Quansah stays at Leverkusen beyond next summer, leaving Arsenal worried as their own transfer pursuit could be blocked.
Arsenal previously had a €65m bid rejected during the summer transfer window, while Chelsea are also credited with interest in the center-back. However, Liverpool retain full control over Quansah's future, having reportedly already agreed to contract terms should sporting director Julian Ward trigger the option.
