Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has suggested that manager Andoni Iraola and his coaching staff may privately feel the Liverpool job is more difficult than they initially expected. Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast, Carragher noted that while Iraola remains unbeaten in his first seven games, the manager might have expected more quality in the squad.
Liverpool have earned nine points from a possible 15 in the Premier League, recently securing a victory at Bournemouth. Carragher highlighted defensive improvements, including three consecutive clean sheets and the performance of defender Jacquet, but warned that tougher fixtures against rivals like Manchester City and Arsenal are still to come.
