Murphy also argued that stripping Manchester City of past titles would be pointless for former runners-up. The charges relate to alleged financial breaches between 2009 and 2018. While Manchester City is reportedly expected to appeal the decision, the club issued a statement noting that the confidential Premier League process remains ongoing.
