Isak, Ekitike, Leoni – Liverpool injury news and return dates after statement released on new blow

Alexander Isak has withdrawn from the Sweden national squad after sustaining a minor injury and will return to Liverpool for assessment. The striker scored in Sweden's 2-1 Nations League win over Romania before suffering the knock. Liverpool stated that club medical staff will evaluate Isak at the AXA Training Centre ahead of their Premier League match against Manchester City on October 11.

Hugo Ekitike remains sidelined with an Achilles injury suffered in April, with manager Andoni Iraola hoping the striker will be available by January.
