Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has called for Florian Wirtz to be dropped by the Reds.

Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola to drop Florian Wirtz following Liverpool's 3-0 home defeat against Manchester City. Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast, the former Liverpool defender criticized the German playmaker's form, stating that the £116.5m signing has offered no goal threat after making around 60 appearances for the club.
Manchester City secured the victory through goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku, and Rayan Cherki after Ryan Gravenberch was sent off past the hour mark. Carragher argued that Wirtz has underperformed compared to Liverpool's younger attackers, insisting that he does not currently deserve a spot in the starting line-up.
