Reds pair in the midst of extended layoffs with serious injuries

Andoni Iraola has delivered positive injury updates on Liverpool players Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike as both continue their extended rehabilitation periods. Iraola revealed that Bradley is close to rejoining group training in a partial capacity following a serious knee injury suffered in January. Meanwhile, Ekitike is progressing well in his recovery from an Achilles tendon rupture sustained in April, though he remains further behind Bradley in his return timeline.
While Iraola refrained from setting specific dates for their competitive returns, he confirmed that both players are adhering to their planned recovery schedules. In additional squad news, Iraola noted that young defender Giovanni Leoni, who suffered an ACL injury on his Liverpool debut, is expected to return to training during the next international break.
