Reds facing fight to keep hold of Giovanni Leoni

Juventus have targeted Liverpool defender Giovanni Leoni after deeming transfer moves for Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori and Chelsea's Marco Palestra unattainable. The Serie A club has reportedly submitted multiple loan approaches for the Italian center-back, but Liverpool are reluctant to part with him only one year into his long-term contract.
Leoni joined Liverpool from Parma for £26m last summer but has made only one appearance after suffering an ACL injury. Juventus remain interested in monitoring Leoni's return to action, while also considering Brentford's Michael Kayode as part of their defensive rebuild.
