Liverpool secured a vital victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield, prompting quite the reaction from Fabian Hurzeler…
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler criticized Andoni Iraola's Liverpool following their 2-0 defeat, claiming his side were the only team trying to create and win the match. An Alexander Isak goal and a Pascal Gross own goal off a Florian Wirtz strike secured Liverpool's first Premier League home win at Anfield since April.
The victory lifted Liverpool into the top four following Chelsea's defeat to Tottenham. Meanwhile, on-loan Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo earned strong praise from Anfield supporters after a standout defensive performance, which included a goal-saving block and a blow to the face while halting a late counterattack.
