Liverpool Transfer News: Midfielder confirms he

Anfield Watch argues that Sporting CP midfielder Sergi Altimira proved he is ready to join Liverpool with an impressive Champions League performance against Lens. Writer Bence Bocsak suggests that Sporting Director Julian Ward has identified the 25-year-old Spaniard as a target to solve Liverpool's midfield depth issues.

The article highlights Liverpool's current lack of midfield options under manager Andoni Iraola, noting suspension for Ryan Gravenberch and injury concerns for Dominik Szoboszlai. Bocsak argues that Altimira's composed display, completing 47 of 50 passes alongside 11 defensive contributions, demonstrates he would be the ideal permanent addition ahead of the January transfer window.
