Liverpool want to sign three-time league champion to replace Virgil van Dijk

Liverpool have reportedly identified Inter Milan central defender Alessandro Bastoni as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk. With Van Dijk now 35 years old and out of contract at the end of the season, Liverpool are planning ahead for their defensive options.

According to reports, Liverpool have already conducted significant background work on a permanent deal for the 27-year-old Italy international ahead of 2027. Chelsea, Manchester City, and Barcelona are also credited with interest in Bastoni, who has won Serie A three times with Inter Milan.
