Ally McCoist was critical of one Liverpool player for his unwitting role in Fenerbahce’s equaliser against the Reds in the first half of their Champions League game on Wednesday. The away side took a well-deserved lead in the 25th minute…
Pundit Ally McCoist criticized Liverpool defender Jeremy Jacquet for turning his back in the wall during Fenerbahce's equalizer on Wednesday. Mason Greenwood's free kick deflected off the French defender and past goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who McCoist noted was visibly furious with his defensive wall.
Liverpool had initially taken the lead through Trey Nyoni's first senior goal before Fenerbahce leveled the score at 1-1. The Empire of the Kop notes that despite the error, summer signing Jacquet has otherwise performed strongly since arriving from Rennes.
